RN/RM Presentation

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines are embracing initiatives to help drive engagement and are encouraging all regular and reservist RN and RM personnel, when and where possible, to conduct outreach in their local communities.

Empowering all Service personnel to go into the community to tell their stories and experiences will allow the Royal Navy and Royal Marines to reach a wider, broader audience. Greater general awareness of our organisation, its roles and opportunities, will generate new interest and create better understanding of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

To assist personnel with delivering this activity, the RN/RM presentation has been created.  

As well as details about who to contact, T&S and getting Chain of Command approval, these instructions give tips and guidance on how to get the best from the activity. They also ensure presenters understand how to use and edit the presentation, who the audience is and how to use effective delivery techniques.

Presentation instructions:

These are the instructions for giving the presentation and should be read before conducting any sessions.

Having made initial contact with the school / youth group / organisation you are presenting to (by phone or email) and a visit has been confirmed and approved by CoC, download, edit as necessary and send this covering letter via your MOD email account.

Covering letter:

This is the covering letter which should be edited and sent to the organisation being presented to following confirmation.

Ahead of the visit, the PowerPoint presentation should be edited according to the audience being presented to.

Presentations should only be delivered using personal devices (or issued non-MODNET devices).

All presenting personnel should always be aware of:

• Data and Cyber Security when using MOD IT equipment (SharePoint)
  
• Personal and Operational Security if own images are being used (SharePoint)
