The expert aircrew of 825 Naval Air Squadron are paving the way for the AugustaWestland Wildcat – the latest and greatest of the Royal Navy’s helicopters.

825 Naval Air Squadron, based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, is part of the Wildcat Maritime Force and is responsible for training all Royal Navy Wildcat Helicopter Engineers and also acts as the Operational Conversion Unit to provide Aircrew to operate the Wildcat Helicopter Maritime Attack (HMA) Mk2 with 815 Naval Air Squadron on the frontline.


The Wildcat HMA Mk2 is the newest Helicopter in the Fleet Air Arm and is designed to operate from Frigates, Destroyers and Royal Fleet Auxiliary platforms across Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) and Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (HADR).
