HMS Sultan welcomes visit by 2SL

HMS Sultan recently welcomed the visit of Vice Admiral Nick Hine CB, Second Sea Lord and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff.

During the visit the Admiral who was accompanied by the Commanding Officer of HMS Sultan, Captain John Voyce throughout, met with staff and trainees within the Royal Navy Air Engineering and Survival Equipment School (RNAESS) and the Defence School of Marine Engineering (DSMarE) who have adjusted to training in the wake of COVID-19.

Capt Voyce said: “We were delighted to welcome Vice Admiral Hine into HMS Sultan. The visit presented us with a great opportunity to demonstrate the significant efforts and achievements made in response to Covid-19 and provide insight into the exciting training modernisation programme that is currently taking place.”
