Devonport Captain exchanges NATO Gifts

HMNB Devonport’s Captain of the Base (COB) Royal Marine’s Colonel Simon Chapman OBE, recently took time out from his schedule to welcome two Standing NATO Maritime Group 1 and Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group (SNMG1 and SNMCMG1) to the West Country Base.
As in keeping with the all visits to the Naval Base the Admiral in charge of SNMG1, Rear Admiral Edward Cashman, of the United States Navy presented COB with mementos of the visit.
Along with other Captains from the Ships of the Group, which included Officers from Denmark, the United States, Germany, the Royal Navy and Poland, COB briefed them on HMNB Devonport and how the base operates.
