Royal Marines Band wow Tower of London visitors

Tourists were treated to an impromptu performance from one of the nation’s best military bands, when RM Band Scotland marched into the Tower of London.
In a break from duties at Buckingham Palace, where the band has been supporting Royal Navy sailors taking their turn as the Royal Guard, they nipped across London, to the Tower of London for some location filming.
This allowed lucky members of the public the chance to enjoy some festive music and precision drill, which the Royal Marines are famed for.
Starting before public opening time, the band did several 'takes' in three locations, in and around the Tower. The final being at the entrance drawbridge, by which time a large inquisitive crowd had assembled.
It's always an honour to conduct a Royal Marines Band, but even more so at such an iconic venue as the Tower of London.
In temperatures not dissimilar to those normally experienced in their base location in Rosyth, staff at the Tower ensured hot drinks were provided for the musicians during breaks.
Once filming was complete the band made time to perform a short marching display, for the staff and early guests within the tourist attraction - by way of thanks for disrupting their morning.
Royal Navy sailors supported by the Royal Marines Band Service has 'the watch' at the Royal Palaces until December 19. Ceremonial musical support has been shared among four of the five Royal Marines Bands.
RM Band Scotland's Director of Music, Major Steve Green, aged 41, said: "It's always an honour to conduct a Royal Marines Band, but even more so at such an iconic venue as the Tower of London.
“In fact, it's been quite a week - as we've performed at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and now the Tower of London, all in the last seven days."
Major Green added: "I couldn't have asked for a better early Christmas present."
