Monster Trucks ‘Big Pete’ and ‘The Grim Reaper’ will be roaring into life as the headline attraction as around 25,000 visitors from across the South gather to enjoy an action packed Father’s Day weekend.
The Show will be jam-packed with high quality Arena Entertainment, interactive games and displays, a craft and a steam fayre and an enormous funfair. In addition, the 2018 Show will include a huge Fun and Games Arena and an Engineering Zone, both of which will be packed full of free activities to enjoy and the Deeds of Arms Gun Deck Experience, complete with gun’s firing, will offer a unique opportunity to hear about how Georgian sailors aboard HMS Temeraire found themselves in the thick of the action at the Battle of Trafalgar.
Appearing alongside the Monster Trucks in the Main Arena will be Team Green Rockets Children’s Motorcycle Display Team. Performing adrenaline-fuelled stunts, this talented troop of young boys & girls will astound you with their airborne stunts & formation riding performance.
Local youngsters from the Royal Naval Volunteer Cadet Corps will compete in Field Gun Competition and, in keeping with the best of Naval Traditions, the award winning HMS Sultan Volunteer Band will be marching to a music medley. If that wasn’t enough a procession of classic steam vehicles will bring back memories of halcyon days.
