New Commander for Devonport Flotilla

New Commander for Devonport Flotilla
21 September 2017
The command of the Plymouth-based Royal Navy flotilla of warships has changed at a ceremony in Devonport Naval Base.

Commodore Rob Bellfield is the new Commander Devonport Flotilla after a supersession event to replace Commodore Paul Halton who goes onto a new post.

Cdre Bellfield is a former commanding officer of the training establishment HMS Raleigh and captain of three frigates.

Cdre Halton was waved off from his headquarters by his staff as he conducted a final inspection of berthed ships on a river tour on board HMS Dasher.
