Sultan personnel complete 24 hour tandem row for charity

11 January 2017
Two service personnel at HMS Sultan recently undertook a 24 hour indoor tandem row, raising valuable funds for deserving charities in the process.

Rowing to a pattern of one hour on and one hour off, Lieutenant Stu Moss RN and Corporal Robert Jones covered a combined distance of 327km, equivalent to rowing from Gosport to Paris.

Both of the men involved are members of ‘Sub 7’, a civilian indoor rowing club which has members worldwide.

Over the past two years the Club has completed several successful Concept in-door rowing World record attempts at HMS Sultan.

The event rose over £330 for RNLI and Centrepoint, a charity which works with homeless young people.
