Gold Rover visits remote island of St Helena

St Helena visit
Fleet tanker RFA Gold Rover recently paid a visit to the remote South Atlantic island of St Helena for their National Day.

During the busy visit, the ship hosted on board tours for 60 local school children, provided volunteers for a local charity gardening project and to paint an Elderly Care Centre, won the 5-a-side football competition, hosted lunches for local dignitaries and attended an official reception at Plantation House hosted by the Governor of St Helena - phew!!!!!!

There was also an opportunity to visit the house where Napoleon spent his final days and climb all 699 steps of Jacob's Ladder.
