Commander Operations guest of honour at ceremonial event
29 July 2016
Commander Operations (COMOPS), Rear Admiral Bob Tarrant CB, paid a special visit to HMS Collingwood recently as the Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer at the Establishment’s annual Ceremonial Divisions.

In addition to taking the salute from the 800 officers and ratings on parade, Admiral Tarrant presented awards and medals to a number of individuals reflecting both academic achievement and exemplary service.

Escorted by Captain Andy Jordan, the Captain of HMS Collingwood and the Maritime Warfare School, the Admiral inspected the Guard of Honour before reviewing HM Royal Marines Band Collingwood, who provided the musical accompaniment throughout the event.

Captain Jordan said, “It was my pleasure to welcome Admiral Tarrant and other guests to this annual ceremonial event. Divisions are a great illustration of discipline, commitment, teamwork and loyalty; values the RN holds dear.”
