Danish Navy Cadets visit the home of weapon engineering

5 December 2016
A group of Students and staff from the Danish Naval College visited HMS Collingwood recently as part of a wider UK visit.

The aim of the visit was for the group to gain an understanding of Royal Navy Weapon Engineering training and an appreciation of the organisation of the Weapon Engineering Department at sea.

Following a comprehensive brief the visitors met with Officers on the System Engineering and Management Course, before visiting the Radar Laboratories.

On departing the Fareham establishment the visitors said that they were amazed at the number of people trained at HMS Collingwood on an annual basis.

They were also stated how impressed they were with the facilities they saw, particularly the Phalanx.

One of them even asked what the process for becoming a British citizen was so that he could then apply to join the RN!
