Navwarn No 54/23
1. The various Yellow Special Marks laid off Southsea Castle to mark the extent of the coastal works and assist to delineate the eastern extent of bathing areas have now been again re-sited along the foreshore.
2. The buoys have been laid in the following positions:
Lit buoy 1 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.904N 001° 05’.882W
Lit Buoy 2 (Fl Y 5s) 50° 46’.619N 001° 04’.753W
Swim Buoy 1 50° 46’.928N 001° 05’.837W
Swim Buoy 2 50° 46’.653N 001° 04’.767W
Swim Buoy 3 50° 46’.691N 001° 04’.778W
Additionally 4 New Permanent Starboard Day Marks (Groyne Piles) have been established in the following positions:-
50° 46’.776N 001° 05’.623W
50° 46’.724N 001° 05’.556W
50° 46’.635N 001° 05’.363W
50° 46’.619N 001° 05’.128W
3. Mariners are advised to navigate with particular caution in the vicinity and are not to navigate on the shoreward side of the marker buoys.
4. The following Portsmouth NAVWARNs remain in force: 50/23, 24/23, 23/23, 06/23, 15/22, 57/20, 44/20, 15/19, 60/18, 75/17, 33/17, 27/14, 57/12 & 52/11.
5. Navwarn 79/22 is hereby superseded.
