Introduction
1. Mariners are advised that the King’s Harbour Master Clyde has made the following General Direction under the Clyde Dockyard Port Order of Gareloch and Loch Long Order 2011.
2. The Clyde Dockyard Port of Gareloch and Loch Long Order 2011 (The Order) conveys a series of powers onto the King’s Harbour Master Clyde to ensure the proper protection of the Dockyard Port, His Majesty’s vessels, dockyards or property, or the requirements of His Majesty’s Naval Service.
Aim
3. The aim of this General Direction is to delegate the powers contained within The Order to the King’s Harbour Master’s nominated deputies.
Detail
4. The following personnel are authorised to exercise the powers contained within The Order until such time as they are relieved by the King’s Harbour Master:
a. The Deputy King’s Harbour Master.
b. Marine Services Superintendent, when acting as Duty KHM.
c. The Port Operations Manager, when acting as Duty KHM.
d. The Assistant King’s Harbour Master.
e. All personnel fulfilling the role of Duty Harbour Controller.
f. All personnel fulfilling the role of Duty Naval Base Officer.
