Aims
To train NCOs to carry out the duties of a Military Band Drum Major.
Course Details
- Ability to command a playing band in executing ceremonial movements on parade
- Exact knowledge of Royal Marines Drum Major’s drills and signals
- Exact knowledge of office routines, including JPA and other Company
- Sergeant Major responsibilities
Students must provide their own Drum Major staff and best ceremonial uniform. N.B. * The exact location of the course will be dependent on RMBS Commitments and classroom availability.
Requirements
- Have a good knowledge of music
- Have high standards of deportment and bearing
- Be selected for promotion (Corporal or above)
