Aim
Provide International Maritime Student (IMS) with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to conduct basic warfare in the AAW, ASuW, ASW and MW environments. This training can be used as a precursor for IMS attending the International Principal Warfare Officer course at MWS Collingwood in the UK.
Course details
IMS will develop an understanding of the doctrine and concepts (i.e. basic standard operating procedures, techniques and tactics) as per UK and multinational publications for conducting AAW, ASuW, ASW and MW and practice utilising host nation training resources (training simulation ashore or ships at sea).
Requirements
IMS will need to be of the rank of Lieutenant (or above) with at least 2 years of sea experience in the rank.
