Aim
The IRPCS state the rules to be adhered to by all vessels on the high seas regardless of type, organisation or location.
It is important that all users have a good understanding and are able to implement as required. It is essential that maritime law enforcement professionals have a comprehensive understanding and can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and capability whilst at sea to other sea users. Maritime professionals will also require a thorough knowledge if having to deal with maritime collisions or incidents and the subsequent investigation.
Course details
The subject is all classroom based and works through the 5 parts and 4 Annexes of the IRPCS. The subject is taught through reading, power-point, examples and exercises.
